History Of Tottenham Hotspur Football club


Tottenham Hotspur Football club was formed in 1882 name as Hotspur F.C. they played in the Southern League until 1908 first time when it was elected into the Football League Second Division. Before this promotion Tottenham had won the FA Cup in 1901. The Cup Winners' Cup victory in 1963 made Tottenham the first English team to win a UEFA competition. In 1960, 1961 it became the first team to complete the double in the twentieth century.Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is known as Spurs club. It is an English football club based in Tottenham, London that plays in the Premier League. The club's home stadium is White Hart Lane. This club founded in 1882. This club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1901 in it is his first achievement for its club.

 Tottenham was the first club who was achieves the League and FA Cup Double in the 20th century winning both competitions in the 1960, 1961 seasons. This club also wins the UEFA club competition in 1963 and become the first wining British club.  After this it won the FA Cup for a third time in 1967.

In the 1970s Tottenham won the League Cup on two occasions and was the winner of the UEFA Cup in 1972 to win two different major European trophies and becoming the first British club to win this title. In the 1980s Spurs won different title and trophies like the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup in 1984. In the 1990s the club won the FA Cup and the League Cup. It also won the League Cup once more in 2008 it means that it had won a major trophy and title in each of the last six decades and was a great achievement for this club.

              


The main achievement of this clubs is: Tottenham have won the FA Cup seven times, the Football League twice, the Football League Cup four times, the UEFA Cup twice and also the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. The 2012–13 season is Tottenham Hotspur's 21st season in the Premier League and 35th successive season in the top division of the English football league system.
