New Captain of Swansea City is Ashley Williams

Swansea stalwart Garry Monk plans to side over the group captaincy to other defensive player Ashley Williams. "I just experience it is time now... it is a challenging option," Monk said. "It's probably been one of my greatest factors - if not the greatest factor - I've had to do with Swansea city. "I know we've had special offers and glasses, but it's definitely up there to have captained this group for such a lengthy time. It's been a actual honor.

"I shown last year and the year before, I haven't performed as consistently as I would have liked, but I've still provided a variety of activities and when I've performed I think I've done fairly well," Monk said. "That's all I can ask of myself, create sure that I'm fit, prepared, look after myself and when known as upon to do it right. "I've done that so far, so I can't have any problems with myself. "If I couldn't contend at this stage, if I was slacking off and sensation actually not right then I'd keep my side up, I'm sincere enough to do that. "But I think I've shown the last several of periods in the Premiership that when I've performed, I've more than taken part with some of the top strikers.
